Who we're looking for
Schroders Capital Real Estate is growing rapidly and we are looking for a Junior Analyst to join the research team. The team works closely with the fund managers and distribution team in real estate, developing the high level strategy for our funds and preparing client reports and presentations. Your role will involve a mix of regular quarterly analyses and a range of ad hoc queries and projects covering all aspects of the real estate business. The research team is well regarded within the industry and it is a great opportunity to learn about commercial real estate and develop your skills as an analyst.

About Schroders
We're a global investment manager. We help institutions, intermediaries and individuals around the world invest money to meet their goals, fulfil their ambitions, and prepare for the future.

We have around 5,000 people on six continents. And we've been around for over 200 years, but keep adapting as society and technology changes. What doesn't change is our commitment to helping our clients, and society, prosper.

The base
We moved into our new HQ in the City of London in 2018. We're close to our clients, in the heart of the UK's financial centre. And we have everything we need to work flexibly.

What you'll do
• Check the quarterly MSCI / IPD performance reports and prepare summaries for the fund managers.
• Prepare quarterly fund datasheets for client reporting.
• Answer ad hoc enquiries on investment performance.
• Prepare quarterly analyses of investment risks.
• Research on trends affecting real estate including technology and climate change.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
• Graduate with a 2:1 degree from a top university in maths, economics, engineering or another numerate subject.
• Strong Excel skills and a methodical approach to building spreadsheets.
• 1-2 years work experience in a commercial environment.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
• An interest in commercial real estate and what makes a good investment.
• A knowledge of MSCI / IPD real estate reports would be an advantage, but is not essential and we will provide full training.
• Familiarity with Powerpoint. Knowledge of Alteryx would be helpful, but is not essential.

What you'll be like
• An eye for detail and someone who appreciates the importance of accurate data.
• An ability to prioritise different tasks and meet deadlines.
• An ability to communicate your findings succinctly.

We're looking for the best, whoever they are
Schroders is an equal opportunities employer. You're welcome here whatever your socio-economic background, race, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious belief, age or disability.
