About Schroders
We're a global investment manager. We help institutions, intermediaries and individuals around the world invest money to meet their goals, fulfil their ambitions, and prepare for the future.
We have around 5,000 people on six continents. And we've been around for over 200 years, but keep adapting as society and technology changes. What doesn't change is our commitment to helping our clients, and society, prosper.
The base
We moved into our new HQ in the City of London in 2018. We're close to our clients, in the heart of the UK's financial centre. And we have everything we need to work flexibly.
The role
You will assist the Fund Managers and Senior Fund Analyst with the monitoring of holdings within the RECaP Investment platform. You will also assist in the underwriting of proposed investments and be involved with client and consultant engagement. In due course you will be expected to take a lead role in managing the client relationships for a proportion of the RECaP business.
You will report to Patrick Bone, Lead Fund Manager - Real Estate Capital Partners. You will also work closely with Nick Prince, the Senior Fund Analyst.
The role will not have any direct reports. Sarah Cockburn, Head of Real Estate Capital Partners is responsible for the business area.
What you will do / Key Responsibilities
• Monitor existing holdings within the RECaP Investment Platform
• Underwrite proposed new investments to the RECaP Investment platform and make investment recommendations
• Assist in the management and reporting of client portfolios, helping to ensure that client portfolios are positioned to meet investment objectives
• Assist in execution and dealing processes to support the RECaP team
• Ensure that ESG is fully integrated into the investment process and our approach to sustainability is communicated to all clients
• Assist in the drafting of new RFP's and pitching for new mandates
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
• Commerciality
• Ability to work in a self motivated manner as well as part of a team
• Strong team player
• Positive attitude
• Good communication skills both verbal and written
• Strong numerical skills
• Excellent understanding of multi-manager investment, real estate funds and trades
What you will be like
• Proactive and motivated
• Able to work to deadlines
• Excellent communicator
• Capable of demonstrating clear values, a team player, willing to strive for high standards
• Previous Multi-Manager experience is an advantage but not essential for the role
We're looking for the best, whoever they are
