We're looking for a junior level BA to join our Digital Payment Services team.

Together we're transforming how the Department make and manage our 700 million payments per year, worth over £200bn.

We are enhancing our payment capability to make best use of changes within the payments industry, ensuring our services work for our users.

You will work with experienced BAs in building our payments capability in a truly Agile environment.

We have learning and development baked into what we do in DWP, and especially in our junior roles. We want you to be as good as you can be, because that's good for us and our users.

Day-to-day you will develop your understanding of the techniques used by BAs. You'll quickly be able to contribute to core BA deliverables (like writing draft requirements, assisting with elicitation techniques and working with testers).

You'll work on stuff that allows you grow your BA skills organically and have access to the learning and mentoring you need to grow your career.

What skills knowledge and experience do you need?

  • Experience of investigating operational needs and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Aware of the importance of developing process efficiencies and able to support process improvement activities.
  • Understands the importance of identifying stakeholders and building strong relationships.
  • Understands the strategic drivers for your area of work and aligns activities to contribute to wider organisational priorities.
  • Analyses and use a range of relevant, credible information from internal and external sources to support decisions.
  • Communicates in a straightforward, honest and engaging manner, choosing appropriate styles to maximise understanding and impact.

Your home hub will be in Blackpool. Our Peel Park site is connected to the North West by the motorway and we have loads of parking. It's handy if you're commuting from Preston, particularly.
