Financial Institutions Credit Analyst

Key responsibilities:

Develop and maintain a good knowledge of the (re)insurance sector, including business and financial risk profiles of key players.
Monitor macro-economic developments, rating actions, company announcements, regulatory developments and news flow.
Conduct periodic credit reviews on a single name or a sector to help re-calibrate risk appetite, and adapt investment/hedging strategy going forward.
Assess the appropriateness of external credit ratings and provide support in assigning internal credit ratings.
Provide support to investment and counterparty risk management activities of the team.

Skills & Experience:

Minimum 2.1 Bachelor's degree from a top-tier university
Minimum 5 years professional experience in an analytical or credit research role covering the (re)insurance sector from a major rating agency/bank/insurance company.
Strong analytical skills in performing fundamental credit analysis on (re)insurance companies that can be applied to quantitative and qualitative data;
Exposure to derivatives (e.g. rates, credit derivatives, and fx) and trading documentations, is desirable but not essential
