Payment processing has recently become a key area of focus and innovation for enterprises across the financial industry. There is now an increasing expectation for payments to be processed in more timely, affordable, and transparent ways.
Goldman Sachs' Payments Platform team builds and supports the products that provide a comprehensive payment solution for all of the firm's institutional, retail and internal transactions. From initiating, executing, and settling, to monitoring, controlling, and authenticating, our software handles the entire life cycle of incoming and outgoing cash flows.
These products handle millions of transactions totalling over a trillion dollars every day. We are, in effect, the arterial conduit which makes all the firm's business possible.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Participate in the design, development and testing of new products and enhancements to deliver better user experiences, more reliable services, and enhanced financial opportunities for the firm and our clients.
  • Collaborate with different business users, leaders and developers on a global scale to navigate complex regulatory, business and technical landscapes.
  • Cultivate strong engineering processes that align with the firm's engineering tenets to improve developer experience, build high-quality software, and promote sustainable innovation.
  • Maintain and uplift current products to reliably support the firm's day to day operations.
  • Gain opportunities to contribute to projects in a variety of ways including back-end dev, front-end dev, technical design, DevOps, Testing and product management.
YOU MAY BE A GOOD FIT FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU:
  • Have 1-3 years of professional experience building and delivering software at scale
  • Can demonstrate a solid background coding and testing in one or more common programming language(s): e.g. Java, JavaScript, Python, Kotlin, C#, C, Scala, Go
  • Have experience with some of the following: database technologies, messaging, REST services, micro-service architectures, cloud platforms
  • Have strong technical, analytical and communication skills
  • Enjoy working with a diverse range of technical and non-technical actors
NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT REQUIRED:
  • Experience with payment systems/payment networks, financial services or Fintech
  • A degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field of study
