We are seeking an inquisitive, dynamic analyst to join our AMD Global Risk Management team who can leverage his/her problem solving capabilities, quantitative background and detailed-oriented mind-set to make an impactful contribution on our team.
OUR IMPACT
The AMD Global Risk Management team sits within our Asset Management Division (AMD). The team is globally responsible for independent oversight of risk (market, liquidity, counterparty, etc) in all AM Public funds and separate accounts.
The team works with groups across the division including portfolio managers, embedded risk managers, legal, compliance, and various groups within the Federation that cover AMD to monitor risk and continually improve upon our risk management framework. The team is also responsible for risk monitoring and regulatory reporting for GSAM funds.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL:
As an analyst on the AMD Global Risk Management team, you will be responsible for:
- Analyze market, liquidity and counterparty risks, produce risk metrics and monitor adherence to established risk thresholds
- Review risk model outputs for external regulatory reporting
- Communicate directly with senior management to ensure material risks are effectively communicated. Engage traders and portfolio managers on topics including threshold breaches, P&L drivers, and notable changes in risk profile
- Assist in divisional risk projects and ad hoc risk requests, including responses to anticipated or unanticipated market disruptions
- Work with Technology and Strats to implement new risk measures / stress tests and enhance existing processes
Basic Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze and evaluate data and form independent judgments
- Highly organized, with attention to detail and excellent follow-through
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to forge strong relationships with internal clients
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders
- Ability to multi-task and work well within a team environment, but also drive initiatives individually
- Inquisitive mindset: seek deeper understanding of complex portfolios, products and processes in AMD and their associated risks
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- 1-3 years of experience
