  • The Private Wealth management (PWM) business under Consumer Wealth Management division provides comprehensive Investment Management services and advice across a full-range of asset classes for very high net worth individuals. PWM leverages a global technology platform offering, an integrated suite of tools, and applications to service clients. This platform helps realize a client's goals and objectives, develops and implements an integrated wealth management plan and delivers first-class client service.
  • Our consumer business provides digital solutions for consumers to better spend, borrow, invest and save. Across CWM, our growth is driven by a relentless focus on our people, our clients and leading-edge technology, data and design.

Private Wealth Management Engineering (Desk Embedded):
Private Wealth Management engineering builds complex scalable systems to deliver our clients' financial needs. We build platforms for digital assets, private equity, derivatives, portfolio strategy and management, IPOs and client coverage. Our growing team consists of full-stack engineers using the latest technologies to design and deliver distributed financial applications. They involve building data platforms using MongoDb, Kafka, and Gemfire as well as complex transaction processing platforms. Front-end applications are primarily developed using Angular and React while we use Java for our back-end development. Our engineers regularly evaluate new technologies to ensure our stack is up to date and that we are using the best technology for each solution. We have a strong focus on our SDLC, CI/CD and development experience to ensure we can work in a fast-paced environment safely and effectively.

We are looking for an engineer who is passionate about building software and wants to learn finance; someone who wants to collaborate with other software engineers and finance professionals across the globe.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
This role offers the opportunity to work with a best-in-class team of Engineers building exciting new products for our PWM Engineering team.
This is a full-stack Engineering role which will involve the candidate working across a variety of areas including: Micro-service development in Java, interaction with MongoDB, UI development in Angular and Visualization development in ReactJS. It requires the candidate to be familiar with distributed services, testing, system monitoring and reporting, and the SDLC process.
The team works directly with a variety of stakeholders, including ultra-high net worth product team, visual design team, operations team, and partnering engineering teams to help in evolving and executing on the firm's digital strategy.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Prior industry experience developing in Java and UI technologies
  • Comfortable working on Linux
  • An ability to drive to goals and milestones while valuing and maintaining a strong attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Java Runtime Environment and Java deployments
  • Familiarity using DevOps tools such as Gitlab and Terraform.
  • Familiarity with No-SQL data management such as MongoDB and the Elasticsearch ELK stack.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills - both verbally and in writing to effectively interact with multiple people and teams
  • Excellent judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Full understanding of software development lifecycle best practices
  • Self-motivated individual that possesses excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Prior experience with storage and networking stacks
