On behalf of our client, a blue chip financial services client, we are currently recruiting for a Project Manager with Technology Transformation experience to work for them on a long term contract basis. This will be a Hybrid role, based in London, Canary Wharf with 2/3 days in office then rest at home. This role is paid PAYE only.

Looking for a good solid structured project manager. This is a tech transformation project, they are looking at what they are doing and comparing to other companies in the market. Looking at ways to improves, looking at software assets, gap analysis. It is essential you have Financial Services experience

Team Profile:
The Software Asset Lifecycle Management transformation forms one of the key workstreams in the Asset Management and Governance Department.
This specific workstream will focus on enhancing our software asset control, capabilities and functions to optimise performance, ongoing maintenance, testing, version control and product upgrades, whilst proactively managing end of life risk. We are striving for greater audit and application rationalisation, compatibility testing, automated discovery, self-service packaging and application portfolio management.
The scope of this program is far reaching and is expected to be a multi-year book of work, broken into multiple phases, realising benefits at several intervals.

Primary Responsibilities:
The Project Manager will be responsible for the global review of existing software asset lifecycle management strategy, identifying the gaps and areas requiring enhancement and to execute the full transformation initiative. The successful candidate will report to the Program Manager.
? Engage with key project stakeholders to shape the project timeline, project structure and team requirements
? Manage third party consultancies in the review of the existing services, through to consolidating and communicating future mode of operation recommendations
? Organise a vendor RFP for incumbent service provider to adapt / enhance and grow the service scope
? Establish baseline application inventory across End User Technology devices, covering; Discovered Applications, Known Applications, Assigned Applications, Installed Applications and Used Applications
? Integrate existing people, process and tools or identify new if required, that will help automate our reporting and governance controls
? Define and build the service governance framework to guide, report and control the firms software asset lifecycle management services
? Orchestrate technology stakeholders to define the modern application packaging and distribution strategy
? Drive application rationalisation and implement strong application versioning controls
? Strong focus on Software Asset End of Life reporting, controls and violation management
? Creation of program marketing and training plans to ensure all service consumers are up to date with the vision and trained sufficiently to follow new or enhanced processes
? Provide tiered project reporting for each focus group along with all other project management documentation (project plans, RAID management etc)

Skills required:
? Demonstrate experience of leading software lifecycle projects and understand the complexities and issues that result from such initiatives
? Ability to analyse and understand the overall status of an organisation's application estate
? Identify opportunities and ability to document clearly requirements for future enhancement
? Ability to build and influence strong professional relationships with stakeholders across geographical & functional boundaries with conflicting priorities
? Possess the credibility and maturity necessary to manage stakeholders from technical SME up to business MD level
? Effective communication in both technical and business contexts is essential
? Ability to liaise with Business Divisions and extract business/application requirements in a structured manner, for presentation to the program manager and other key stakeholders
? Evaluating and negotiating the balance between software delivery, hygiene and end of life risk whilst achieving deadlines and targets
? To clearly articulate the project's objectives and requirements, as well as documenting project risks and issues.

The role involves preparing and delivering presentations on a regular basis, requiring confidence in communication
? Accuracy and attention to detail is a priority
? A preference for candidates who have previously worked on software transformation programs
? Strong MS Office experience; Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Microsoft Teams experience with project management in mind
? The ideal candidate should have 7+ years

? Prior experience working in financial services or consulting firm required
