Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
  • Support Equity Research Analyst of a global investment bank in carrying out research on a portfolio of companies across different sectors.
  • Track news, events, and results of the companies under coverage
  • Track and monitor regulatory trends impacting the industry
  • Build and maintain databases tracking key macroeconomic indicators/industry KPIs
  • Work on Financial Models - update historical numbers, build projections, and carry out valuation
  • Listen to and summarise investment conference calls
  • Assist the Lead Analyst in preparation of company profiles, newsletters, flash notes, earning notes, initiating coverage reports, etc.
  • Develop roadshow presentations
  • Handle ad-hoc research requests as per client requirements

Experience and Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification
  • 2 - 4 years' experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of database tools, including Bloomberg, Reuters, and other financial data systems
  • Knowledge of VBA, Python will be an added advantage

Professional Competencies:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of accounting concepts and ability to conduct financial analysis
  • Understanding of valuation methodologies
  • Good financial writing skills (beyond factual reporting, such as company description)
  • Well versed in building financial models with forecasting
  • Ability to build client relations
  • Ability to work independently
