We pride ourselves in having both a diverse client base and an equally diverse and inclusive team. Our focus within EMEA is delivering lending, treasury, banking and foreign exchange products to clients in the UK and across Western Europe.

To continue our remarkable growth trajectory, we are searching for an experienced Senior Vice President or Director to join our Relationship Management ('RM') team. The RM role will focus on new business origination, whilst working closely alongside the Portfolio Management team which is responsible for the expansion of existing relationships. A sound understanding of credit policy is imperative.

Key aspects of the role:

Business Development: Independently prospects and develops new client relationships as well as driving the success of new products in market.
Market Visibility: Seeks out opportunities to represent SVB at events, speaking panels and interviews. Establishes referral sources, regularly meeting with service providers to build and maintain a network. Curate events that bring clients together and build a sense of community.
Client Relationships/Cross-Sell: Acts as an overall brand ambassador for SVB, and in conjunction with the Portfolio Management team, manages a set of assigned client relationships. Evaluates client relationships to ensure SVB is connected to the key decision makers.
Sound decision making and independent judgement in negotiations and building relationships. Influence and drive decisions. Identify and explore business development responsibilities.
Recommends and presents new business opportunities to credit and internal stakeholders.
Strong negotiation and marketing skills with an ability to build and close new relationships. Understanding of SVB's products, services and protocols.

You must have a strong understanding of the structure of PE/VC firms and the full product suite available to GFB clients. You will be eager to acquire, cultivate and grow client relationships and build deep connections with key individuals. You will have good interpersonal and negotiation skills, display initiative and attention to detail, and be highly collaborative and team oriented.

A bachelor's degree or equivalent is required, together with proven relevant experience.
