Job Purpose
The technical data analyst will be responsible for managing the corporate MI systems database and reporting suite, ensuring full understanding of inputs, outputs and the ETL process, dealing with queries from business partners, building new reports, maintaining existing reports, developing changes and working with the technical database resources to move changes into the production environment in a controlled manner to protect the integrity of the data
Responsibility for supporting the organisations GDPR data compliance tool, ensuring data harvesting, analysis and reporting is in line with the Data Protection guides and the Company's policies
There will be some out of hours working over critical financial periods (month/quarter and Year end) to support the business areas in delivering their regulatory requirements

What you'll do
• Monitor and evaluate data issues to identify critical failures, liaising with incident management and technical support to resolve issues within agreed SLAs
• Document recurring failures and work with technical support to triage and problem solve
• Adhere to and promote established ITIL and IT processes and procedures, to ensure best practises and standards are followed by the team
• Understand the data flows, transformation processes and outputs of the MI system
• Provide management with information with regards to known problems, give technical foresight and assistance with any long term planning required to manage the vitality and health of the MI system and environment
• Have knowledge of the CLUK BAU operating environment, understanding end user applications and infrastructure, ensuring that knowledge is maintained and shared with peers, recommending improvements to management to drive the business forward through use of technology
• Maintain application inventory, knowledge base articles and other internal documentation required to support the CLUK MI system
• Engage with end users in a professional, pro-active manner providing technical assistance and knowledge tailored accordingly to the audience, ensuring user satisfaction with the service provided
• Liaise with partners in Europe and Canada to ensure critical corporate data is generated and transferred to the SAP system within agreed targets

Desired Knowledge / Experience / Skills
• A high level of mathematical ability
• Highly experienced with Data query languages, such as TSQL
• Knowledge of Hyperion Studio and Informatica preferable
• Background working with financial and general ledger data
