About the Role:
You will work to requirements, multitasking across various projects, to test functional aspects of various IT systems within the business. Reporting into the Test Manager, you will execute assignments according to project plans, to meet schedule, budget, quality and other applicable requirements. You will also maintain scripts and documentation in the appropriate testing tools.

Other responsibilities include:
- Providing regular updates on progress and issues relating to test activities
- Troubleshoot issues independently arising during testing phases
- Support other team members as needed, to help meet overall team objectives
- Proactively participate in project testing reviews of applicable product specifications in assigned product areas
- Perform test development tasks including assisting / defining and working with test strategy and plan documents, test scenarios, and test cases, writing test procedures, tracing product requirements to test cases, generating test data sets, and developing automated test scripts. Alongside you will work on test execution tasks include executing test procedures and automated scripts, running ad hoc tests, and identifying, analysing, and verifying discrepancies
Candidate Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years functional testing
- Background working in financial services with an understanding of the full Trading and Clearing lifecycle
- Strong knowledge of FIX Messaging Protocols
- Knowledge of programming languages like Java and Python
- Exposure to automation testing
- Experience of Clearing applications, position management, settlement and delivery.
- Any knowledge of SWIFT and Kafka messaging protocols would be beneficial.
