Company: We are an investment manager focussed on European real estate private debt, with a particular focus on residential property. We have a significant amount of capital to deploy and have ambitious growth plans as we continue to expand our product set and geographic footprint. We are a rapidly growing entrepreneurial business part owned by a major real estate manager with $130bn of assets under management.
The Role: We are looking for a talented junior loan asset manager to join our successful real estate loan business that has a large portfolio that is growing rapidly, with loan sizes varying from £10m to £200m. The successful candidate will report to the risk manager and be responsible for the day-to-day analysis, oversight and reporting on the portfolio.

The Role: We are looking for a talented junior loan asset manager to join our successful real estate loan business that has a large portfolio that is growing rapidly, with loan sizes varying from £10m to £200m. The successful candidate will report to the risk manager and be responsible for the day-to-day analysis, oversight and reporting on the portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the investment team before the closing of a loan to ensure the reporting obligations will be sufficient for the efficient management of the loan over its lifecycle
- Liaise with loan servicers and the borrowers to ensure reporting is received on a timely basis
- Review borrower reporting to ensure compliance with loan covenants and monitor underlying collateral performance versus original underwriting case both in terms of financial and key performance indicators
- Prepare reports for the investment committee on matters arising over the life of a loan that require credit approval
- Prepare loan annual reviews for the investment committee, including an update of the cash flow model for the loan
- Manage a best-in-class loan reporting process to the firm's third party investors
- Liaise with, where required, various professionals including borrowers, other lenders, property managers, valuers and solicitors in the asset management of the portfolios
- Be able to work with the underwriting model for each investment
- Ensure the relevant risk policies and operating manuals are followed
- A team player to be able to work collaboratively with a variety of internal stakeholders, including investment, legal, finance, technology and operations teams
- Be comfortable in working with technology to oversee (and further develop) the firm's in house loan booking and risk management system
Qualifications and experience:
- A graduate with good analytical experience
- The ideal candidate is likely to have worked in a related role at a bank, fund manager, institutional investor, rating agency or transaction services business
- A good understanding of loans backed by real estate
- An understanding of loan documentation and loan servicing
- Any experience of corporate loans and accounting would we beneficial
- Minimum of 1 years relevant experience
- Loan modelling experience
- Possess excellent time management and organisational skills
- Great attention to detail
- Essential to have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to deliver high quality work under constrained timelines
- Interested in embracing technology to find efficient solutions to support the role
