Who we're looking for
We are looking for a client-facing insurance specialist to help Schroders deepen the European insurance footprint.
The successful candidate will focus on the EMEA region and will partner across Schroders with our Insurance Solutions, Investment and local Distribution teams to help Schroders build relationships, deepen trust, and develop new business with insurance clients. Working closely with the local sales teams in particular, the successful candidate will help set the strategic direction for engagements with insurers across an array of strategies.

What you'll do
• Identifying product and platform focus areas for the sales team by providing key insights into the relative value and attractiveness of asset classes
• Liaising between distribution and investments and serving as a market, regulatory, and portfolio expert to our clients and prospects.
• Providing expert support in client/prospect meetings to advance opportunities for single mandate and strategic partnerships
• Maintaining expertise in and providing updates on industry regulation which impacts our clients, our services, and how Schroders engages with the insurance clients
• Partnering with the marketing team to build Schroders' brand with insurers through thought leadership, digital presence, and other promotional materials
• Providing periodic insurance-specific sales training
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
- Previous relevant experience, at an investment function with an insurer, consultancy, asset manager or banking
- Strong understanding of market dynamics in selected continental European markets
- Technical expertise and knowledge of insurers' investment requirements and decision-making process
- Detailed knowledge of Solvency II regulation, in particular relating to market risk and investments
- European language a strong plus
- The role will involve some amount of travel across the EMEA region
