Fixed Income Insights

The Fixed Income Insights team harnesses the intellectual capital of the Fixed Income team at Goldman Sachs Asset Management to create visionary insights that help our clients navigate the global economy and fixed income markets to cultivate sustainable investment opportunities.

Principle Responsibilities
  • Create
    • Author market, investment and economic content with a clear eye toward creating compelling and engaging insights for our clients.
    • Develop unique content to support commercial opportunities.
    • Author and publish event-driven insights in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate
    • Collaborate with investment teams, fixed income portfolio management, marketing, client coverage, the Executive Office and compliance to ensure timely and smooth distribution of content that is compliant with local market regulations.
  • Innovate
    • Deliver insights through a range of formats (email, podcast, video, social media).
    • Partner with marketing to distil financial market and economic data into graphs, infographics and other data visualizations.
  • Engage
    • Partner with fixed income portfolio managers to present key takeaways from fixed income and economic publications to client coverage teams, clients and media.
  • Strategize
    • Manage and drive content calendar to support commercial opportunities in Focus Funds and strategic areas of focus including Goldman Sachs Sustainability themes (climate transition and inclusive growth).
    • Monitor content engagement analytics produced by marketing teams.
    • Ensure content is consistent with Goldman Sachs Asset Management value proposition and aligned with Fixed Income and Liquidity Solutions strategic goals.
Required Skills / Experience

  • Undergraduate degree (BA/BSc) in any discipline.
  • A minimum of three years of prior relevant experience, including asset management, journalism, data journalism, economic research or fixed income research.
  • A demonstrated interest and natural curiosity for macro, industry and political trends that impact financial markets and the asset management industry.
  • Sharp writing skills with an ability to distil new and complex financial and economic information into digestible insights.
  • Ability to convey financial and economic data in graph and chart format.
  • Proficient in Word and PowerPoint.
  • Attention to detail with proven experience of delivering high quality content.
  • Highly organized with an ability to manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative, strategic and commercial clout with an ability to generate fresh ideas.
  • Core soft skills including creativity, leadership, flexibility, critical thinking, and collaboration.
  • Agile with high metabolism for change.
  • A professional, enthusiastic and positive outlook.
Desired Skills / Experience

  • Macrobond and/or Bloomberg proficiency.
  • Financial journalism experience.
  • Experience developing automated market and economic data commentary.
  • Experience in fixed income, economic or environmental, social and governance (ESG) research.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing, infographics and data visualizations.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
