About our client
Our client is an established international Aerospace and Defence company, wholly owned by a large US-based PE fund. The firm is constantly expanding into new markets and looking for opportunities to consolidate in fast-growing areas of their business. As such they have a highly active corporate development team and are looking to hire an Associate to join them.

What the job involves
  • Analyse and evaluate potential investment opportunities, including business models, key-value drivers and investment risks
  • Create and analyse sophisticated financial models to assist in investment evaluation
  • Preparation of investment memoranda for Board approval
  • Assist with evaluation and implementation of transaction structuring alternatives
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders (including subject matter experts and C-suite executives) to support the due diligence and execution process
  • Monitor ongoing financial, operational performance and risk exposure of portfolio companies
  • Prepare detailed investment analyses for organic growth opportunities in existing Meta businesses
  • Work entrepreneurially in the team, incorporating Strategy Execution, Research, and Solution Evaluation, to gain a more holistic understanding of investment, as well as the wider Aerospace and Defence landscape

Who we are looking for
  • Highly motivated, numerate, with strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
  • A minimum of two years' transaction experience in top-tier Investment Banking
  • Outstanding academics from a top-tier university
  • Enjoys entrepreneurial environment and is a self-starter
  • Excellent financial modelling, analytical, and research abilities
  • Organised and systematic approach; able to prioritise competing deadlines effectively
  • Excellent writing & communication skills
  • Experience in Aerospace & Defence M&A advantageous but not required
