Multi Asset Solutions (MAS) is a multi-asset class investing group that sits within the Asset Management Division at Goldman Sachs. It designs and develops comprehensive investment management solutions customised to meet the investment objectives and relevant constraints of clients. These solutions bring together state-of-the-art techniques for multi-asset portfolio design and implementation and reflect proprietary research and analytics conducted by the MAS team. Associate Role Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop knowledge and expertise on industry trends and competitive landscape
  • Coordinate Bid Management / RFP writing process for prospects and existing clients as well as consultants and third party evaluators
  • Maintain library of RFP language in effort to standardise and streamline RFP writing process
  • Coordinate and assist in writing thought leadership pieces on current industry trends and topics
  • Assist with the drafting, editing and maintenance of product profiles, pitch books, and other marketing materials
  • Co-ordinate pitch preparation and assist in developing materials and messaging to support high quality client engagement at pitch stage
  • Foster strong relationships with portfolio managers and product specialists, sales, and other GS Asset Management professionals
  • Develop an understanding of a multi-asset class investment process, gaining experience in strategic asset allocation and tactical asset allocation, as well as exposure to manager selection views
  • Engage in a collegial work environment that facilitates individual professional development while having a direct impact on the overall success of the firm.
Other required skills/experience:
  • 2-4 years of work experience
  • Excellent communication skills both written, and verbal
  • Financial writing experience preferred
  • Experience with writing and creating content for institutional clients preferred
  • Interest in the financial services industry and desire to build knowledge of portfolio management and the markets
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Strong project management skills including ability to organise and track multiple projects in parallel, delivery on tight timelines, and a hands-on approach to resolving issues
  • Highly organised, with attention-to-detail and excellent follow-through
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment with flexibility and demonstrate a high level of self-motivation
