Redstone Commodity Search are working with an exciting company in the carbon space looking for someone to join their team in order to take responsibility for building a client portfolio for a new exchange platform.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks
  • To help formulate and implement strategy and product offerings as well develop and grow relationships with institutional and proprietary clients, and other concerned parties (intermediary traders and brokers) for the carbon market to deliver sustainable growth for the exchange.
  • Research and fully comprehend the primary motivations of new and pre-existing clients in order to better understand their needs and better express the value of available solutions and help develop further products increasing the platforms market viability.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge on all aspects, commercial and regulatory for both the compliance and voluntary carbon markets to understand new trading opportunities and help ensure regulatory compliance for the exchange, wider company and clients. Also, to better engage with stakeholders (regulators, etc.) on behalf of the company.
  • Work closely with various departments (product, legal, risk, operations, platform and IT) and coordinate public understanding of the important key points and business considerations as the exchange graduates through it's initial live-launch and beyond.
  • Reports into the Commercial Head

Key Qualifications / Experience
  • 15+ years of experience in the workforce, including strong experience in sales/business development/trading as well as understanding of governance, regulatory and operational needs of an active exchange.
  • Ideally strong market knowledge and relationships in the carbon sector and/or similar markets.
  • Meticulously detail-oriented, organised, and analytical with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role
  • Degree in business, finance, or economics and ideally with higher education/experience in ESG, sustainable finance, or environmental studies
  • Role to be based in London
