We are looking for emerging, ambitious Digital Portfolio Managers who want to help us run projects and solve problems that impact the most vulnerable citizens in society.

Portfolio Management is key in DWP. We ensure that decisions surrounding the timing, structure and prioritisation of projects and programmes, are correctly planned and managed.

You will support tracking, analysis and reporting, and assure delivery of outcomes within your portfolio.

You'll work with other project and portfolio experts and support our multidisciplinary delivery teams so we can work faster and better. You'll help to unblock issues and make sure that proper controls and risk mitigation procedures are in place.

We'll help you develop skills in monitoring data visualisation dashboards so you can better track delivery progress.

You will also support compliance activity, ensuring your portfolio are compliant with standards, governance and roadmaps.

What skills and experience do you need to show us?
  • Knowledge of how projects are run, managed and governed.
  • Experience of stakeholder management.
  • Experience of producing reports using a range of tools.
  • Experience of analysing information to make recommendations to senior managers.

You'll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs, in either Manchester or Blackpool.

In return for your skills, we offer a competitive salary of up to £34,285.

You'll be eligible for a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth over 27%.
