• to support Jonathan Sharpe (micro cap portfolio manager) and Tamsin Quayle running the micro cap strategy.
• the role is for an analyst - investment decisions are made by the PMs. Candidate should have 2 - 5 year's relevant experience. The fund uses a bottom-up long term value-based approach with low turnover. Strategy AUM is currently $420m. Office based/hybrid working potential.
Attributes:
• 2 - 5 years relevant experience, either in asset management, accounting or a related field. • Strong academic qualifications, degree level/masters background.
• Interest in financial markets, equity investing.
• Independent thinker, numerate, PC skills (excel), ability to work independently.
• Travel to Europe will be required.
• Interest in taking CFA qualification. The main aspects of the role are: Investment research/idea generation
• Screening for ideas, attend and lead meetings with companies, attending conferences.
• Build and maintain spreadsheets/price targets
• Develop and enhance the existing models
• Monitor portfolio news flow and updates
• Work with micro cap portfolio managers on portfolio reviews and strategy, market and macro themes and trends.

- Maintain database of ESG data for portfolio companies.
- Track ESG develops and highlight areas for improvement.
- Support engagement with companies regarding ESG developments.
- Produce in-depth studies on investments where we may take an activist stance.
- Support the production of fund presentations and fund reporting.
