Our client, a well established, boutique, real estate investment business, has a requirement for a newly/recently qualified accountant to join a finance team of 5 people. The role will be very broad in nature, covering financial reporting, management accounts, whilst also working closely with investment teams on new deals as well as portfolio monitoring. You will likely be a qualified accountant (ACA preferred) from a top 15 UK practice firm, ideally with some real estate exposure.

- Review and where necessary prepare reporting for the audited, quarterly group financial statements
- Work closely with and provide support and guidance to external property accountants and purchase ledger clerk
- Collate documentation supporting the group's internal controls and liaise with external auditors
- Identify control gaps and recommend improvements to controls or documentation. In time assist with the preparation and development of the group's new internal control matrix
- Manage the year end accounts production process and audits for the Group's SPVs
- Oversee and assist with the group's consolidated statutory financial reporting
- Build strong relationships with members of the investment team and external providers, particularly property managers, and ensure reporting received is timely, accurate and in an acceptable format
- Assist in preparation of bank compliance reporting and communication with lenders
- Transaction support for asset / corporate acquisitions and disposals, bank financing etc
- Ad hoc financial reporting for investors
- In time, testing of, and input into the selection of new IT packages to be adopted by the Company.
Requirements:
- You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA preferred)
- Have a degree
- Likely have audit/accounting experience from a top 15 UK practice firm
- Have some real estate exposure
- Be intellectually curious and have good all round interpersonal skills
