Green Street's Forecasting & Data Science team is a small group of motivated quants who are actively looking for individuals interested in solving a wide variety of technical challenges. We are looking for people who are comfortable diving into code, as well as collaborating with colleagues, and applying statistical concepts to solving real world problems in the commercial real estate ecosystem. This role, based in London, will be responsible for the development and maintenance of Green Street's European commercial real estate forecasting models.

The ideal candidate will have:

Knowledge & Skills:
  • Responsible for providing quantitative, and data driven statistical analysis and modeling to support various company's initiatives and model enhancements.
  • Ability to work closely with multiple departments (e.g. Research and Product teams).
  • Keen analytical mindset, strong quantitative educational background, and comfortable working with large datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a collaborative team and should also be a self-starter who is able to produce with minimal supervision.

Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline, such as statistics, econometrics, computer science, financial engineering, and data science from a top-tier university.
  • 3+ years' experience developing and maintaining econometric and quantitative models (experience with SAS and Python NumPy/Pandas is a plus).
  • Experience working with and analyzing large databases using SQL.
  • Knowledge and work experience in the UK and Europe commercial real estate is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze, determine comparability and standardize data from various disparate sources for model development efforts and ad-hoc analytics.
  • Ability to clearly articulate, including statistical/highly technical concepts to internal and external clients in verbal and written form.
