Job Purpose Statement
Where you'll fit in & what our team goals are...
Your role sits within BMO GAM EMEA's Investment Support team, which is part of the wider Operations and IT team.
Investment Support take on many different administrative and analytical tasks, including operational oversight. The focus of your role is to provide support to the Thames River Property team and the mandates currently managed by them.
Role Responsibilities
How you'll spend your time...
• Responsible for ensuring a high service level is maintained for the Thames River Property team.
• Providing support as requested by the team including:
- Daily, periodic and ad hoc reporting.
- Collateral and call account cash monitoring and movements.
- Pledge account oversight and maintenance.
- Timely and proactive resolution of internal and external queries, cash/stock breaks, etc.
- Daily position reconciliation.
- Trade Lifecycle monitoring. Overview of outsourced middle and back office functions, resolution of trade issues ahead of settlement.
- Corporate action events for funds. Liaise with FM team and take appropriate action on voluntary events. Monitor mandatory events across funds.
- Liaison internally and externally to resolve trading issues and any associated documentation.
- Production, management and monitoring to ensure internal and regulatory reporting is accurate and delivered within agreed timeframes.
- Additional tasks and ad-hoc queries as raised by the FM team.
• Providing cover for other team members with regard the wider Equity teams.
Key Capabilities
To be successful in this role you will have...
• Knowledge and experience in Investment Administration/Support Functions
• Equity trade lifecycle experience
• CFD and collateral experience
• Accuracy and close attention to detail
• Reliable, conscientious, ability to work as part of a team
• Strong IT skills - Excel, Thinkfolio
• Experience of prioritising workloads, working to strict deadlines and following procedures and controls
• Exposure to and/or understanding of CFD trading and lifecycle
Desired Capabilities
If you also had this, it would be great...
• IMC, IAQ or accounting qualification is preferable but not essential
