We offer careers that provide endless opportunity - helping millions of individuals and businesses thrive, and creating financial and digital solutions that the world now takes for granted.

Hybrid Working
We are currently operating in a hybrid working environment, meaning that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Please discuss the detail of the working pattern options for the role with the hiring manager.

What will you be doing:
• You will be working on the end to end management of card scheme programs in relation to fraud and risk
• Monitoring of transactional activity and working with fraud and SME credit risk strategy
• Managing all aspects of Brand & Reputation monitoring, including management of persistent monitoring alerts and card scheme notifications of a violation and vendor relationships
• Identifying new and emerging threats, ensuring we acknowledge and take appropriate action to protect the business
• Ensuring minimal exposure to financial losses in line with budget - taking swift and decisive action when needed
• You will be where need arises, visiting customers / clients where a risk exposure may exist (This aspect may require travel around the UK, sometimes at short notice)
• Ensuring preparation of evidential statements / packages for CSO/law enforcement (this brings with it a potential requirement to present this evidence in court)
• Ensuring there is a feedback cycle throughout the term of the retailer from on boarding through to collections, providing feedback and guidance on SME fraud and risk perspective

What we're looking for:
• Detailed knowledge of acquiring risk, merchant fraud & brand risk
• An understanding of our terms and conditions as well as procedures
• Knowledge of transactional monitoring and creation of rule sets
• Analytical skills in order to help with report writing, evidence gathering and fact finding

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Experience of working within fraud/risk/intelligence environments
• Experience of working with law enforcement and/or regulatory agencies
• Detailed knowledge of the payment fraud landscape
• Proven ability of recognizing emerging risk and trends and stopping them

Where will you be working?
Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997.
We purchased the building from the landlord in early 2018 as a sign of our commitment to investment in Northampton. Plans to further develop this Campus-style location are under way to allow for a real collaborative work environment. Based just off the A45 it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
