Key Responsibilities:

Core knowledge
  • A high level of knowledge in the EA Tooling domain; develop a good understanding of complementary areas, e.g. data architecture, data visualisation and integration
  • Develop and maintain a good understanding of clients technology, business, process and transformation landscapes
  • Transfer knowledge and expertise to other members of the Strategy & Architecture and wider Technology teams, if necessary by running formal training
  • If required, provide advice to and/or seek to learn from other Member Firms, client teams and/or clients that are seeking to implement or improve their use of EA Tooling & Reporting

Core tasks
  • Assist and support the Strategy & Architecture team to create a detailed picture of clients technology estate, incl. applications, interfaces, data flows and underlying tech, using taxonomies to segment technologies into relevant domains and sub-domains
  • Create and/or use business, service and process models, and map these to the tech estate; use these maps to translate between business and tech domains and vice versa, to quickly understand dependencies
  • Help to define and measure KPIs for the tech landscape, build performance dashboards using Power BI, and collect and report on data to demonstrate value creation and/or highlight areas that require attention
  • Use the EA tools to actively manage clients's technology landscape, incl. investment in core and niche technologies, decommissioning of legacy tech, and the creation and adoption of reusable components

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Essential (EA Tooling & Reporting)
  • Expert knowledge of one or more leading EA tools, e.g. ins.pi, Software AG's Alfabet, BiZZdesign
  • Practical knowledge of ServiceNow workflow, and Application Portfolio Management (APM) and CMDB modules
  • Good knowledge and experience of modelling languages, e.g. UML, ArchiMate and BPMN
  • Good knowledge of UX, Data and Integration domains
  • Experience of designing KPIs, collecting and analysing data, and using Power BI for data visualisation
  • Good knowledge of business and tech capability models and taxonomies
  • Qualified in ITIL and TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework)


Essential (Other)
  • Good understanding of project management concepts, incl. Gantt charts/plans, risks, assumptions and dependencies, etc.
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity at the beginning of projects, with ability to provide clarity of direction despite this


Desirable
  • Reasonable knowledge across a broad set of other technology domains, incl. Automation; Data Science & AI; Infrastructure; Security; and DevSecOps
  • Practical understanding of GDPR and ISO 27001
  • Bachelor's degree
