Pearse Partners are currently working with an American Multinational bank to help secure a Investment Banking Strategy manager to join the team.
Investment Banking Strategy Manager:
• Leads the execution and development of strategies to accomplish SBU-level goals, long-term planning targets.
• Manages day-to-day operational tasks and priorities to inform and advise SBU head(s) / COOs of opportunities to improve and grow the organization, including preparing memos/briefings with key highlights and takeaways to facilitate efficient and informed decision making.
• Participate and assist with representing and advocating for SBU/sector bankers in IB-wide projects and initiatives of the IB Leadership.
• Plays a central role with integration in the event of an acquisition.
• Acts as a primary point of contact with business functional partners like HR, Marketing, Legal and Compliance.
• Monitors SBUs pipeline of strategic initiatives and activities that support the operations and growth of the business.
• Assist with workforce planning and talent needs, including building headcount forecast models, documenting talent assessments, interviewing candidates, participating in on-campus recruiting, documenting interview feedback, and coordinating with HR and Talent Acquisition.
• Manage the upkeep and accuracy of core SBU and/or sector databases and collateral, such as any comparable company and transaction databases and standard marketing materials.
• Create and maintain materials used by SBU heads for a variety of purposes, including sponsor coverage, SBU-wide credentials, and internal projects/analysis.
• Liaise with Data & Insights team on SBU/sector reporting needs and accuracy.
Knowledge of:
• Investment concepts, practices and procedures used in the securities industry. • Concepts, principles and practices of Investment Banking.
• Corporate Banking operations and structure.
• Financial markets and products.
Skills in:
• Identifying trends and communicating appropriate action to key stakeholders.
• Analyzing and interpreting financial statements.
• Analytical skills sufficient to assess and explain events in the market.
• Problem solving and critical thinking skills and the ability to think independently sufficient to market ideas.
