We're looking for emerging Project Managers to join our brilliant DWP Digital community.

You might have experience as a PMO or Project Manager, or just have delivered projects.

If you're organised, a problem solver, a communicator and collaborator - if you just get tracking, reporting and how project delivery works - and you're looking to launch a career in Portfolio Management, apply today.

DWP. Digital with Purpose.

DWP Digital is part of the UK's biggest government department. We're transforming public services so they work better for 110,000 DWP colleagues and agents, and for 22 million daily users as they find work, save for their future, and access critical support.

Few other organisations globally provide the same opportunity to apply next-generation digital technology on a massive scale to issues, products and service which touch the lives of so many.

You'll also be part of a thriving Project Management community. We'll invest in your skills and your career with formal learning and access to certifications, as well as on the job learning, and coaching/mentoring from some of the best project and delivery practitioners in the game.

It's rare that we get chance to bring Project Managers in at this level, so please do apply.

Duties. Work. Projects.

This is a brilliant role working on our Digital Cross Boundary Team.

We have a unique role with a huge impact across government.

We manage delivery of a range of high-profile cross-cutting projects, with diverse stakeholders such as the Scottish Government, NHS and Ministry of Defence.

Day to day you will:

  • Analyse information from internal and external sources to support decisions.
  • Work effectively with a range of stakeholders on plans, risks, issues and governance.
  • Encourage collaboration and good communication within your team, managing conflict and helping to create a positive culture.
  • Track and manage progress and budget, to support accurate reporting
  • Proactively learn and develop your knowledge and skills in project management principles, methods, and tools.
  • Build relationships and communicate with project stakeholders, in line with broader project/digital messaging.
  • Act as a point of contact for third party suppliers.

What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?
  • You have been responsible for the satisfactory completion of small projects or deliverables within larger projects
  • Good communicator, able to tailor messages to a range of audiences.
  • You show a positive approach to keeping the team's efforts focused on the top priorities.
  • You have experience of collaborating with stakeholders and/or suppliers to resolve complex issues, managing conflicting dynamics.
  • You regularly monitor your own and team's work against milestones ensuring individual needs are considered when setting tasks.
  • You display confidence when making difficult decisions, even if they prove to be unpopular.
