Principal responsibilities:

  • To market the services of the Branch/Bank to new and existing customers, including Treasury services, Personal Banking and Residential Lending;
  • To visit customers and potential customers as requested by the Relationship Managers to enhance the Bank's knowledge of them;
  • Marketing - attending professional events and networking;
  • Ensuring services are provided to property customers and potential customers to a high standard
  • To be responsible for account opening (including the input onto the AML system)/ account closing for all property customers;
  • To be responsible for deposits and small FX deals re property customers;
  • To ensure excesses on property customer accounts are cleared;
  • To follow up for receipt of renewals or new policies for property insurance;
  • To ensure that property loans are correctly set up in the computer system;
  • To attend meetings with the Relationship Managers as and when required
  • To assist with the preparation of the credit applications as requested by the Relationship Managers;
  • To assist with the preparation of facility letters as requested by the Relationship Managers;
  • To ensure financial statements are received for all property corporate customers and to follow up for receipt of up-to-date financial statements on an annual basis;
  • To analyse financial statements as requested by the Relationship Managers;
  • To visit properties charged to the Bank as requested by the Relationship Managers;
  • To issue Head of Terms for property customers as requested by the Relationship Managers;
  • To issue property Facility letters as requested by the Relationship Managers;
  • To instruct valuers, monitoring surveyors and solicitors letters as requested by the Relationship Managers;
  • To perform filing and administrative assistance for the property Relationship Managers and the Head of Corporate Banking and Property Lending;
  • To assist the Head of Corporate Banking and Property Lending and Deputy General Manager in preparing HO and other monthly/quarterly reports;
  • To be responsible for financial and non-financial covenant checking for all property customers
  • To ensure fees are debited to the property customer account as and when due;
  • To maintain a portfolio of 'credit only' property related customers, ensuring that each customer is monitored correctly in accordance with the KYC/Anti money laundering procedures and each customer also receives a high service level at all times;
  • To prepare such reports as requested by the Relationship Managers and the Head of Corporate Banking and Property Lending on a timely basis.

Other:

  • To pay due regard to the interests of clients and to treat them fairly;
  • To keep up to date with clients and their businesses, and to document this knowledge on file (KYC);
  • To adhere to the branch's account opening standards in on boarding new clients;
  • To perform regular AML reviews on clients according to their risk profile;
  • To monitor customer transactions and record appropriate comments on relevant systems;
  • To acquire and maintain a good working knowledge of the Bank's procedure manuals;
  • To adhere to all relevant regulatory requirements and restrictions as set out in the Compliance Manual and AML & FC Manual, and report any known breach
  • To complete actions set by Compliance within specified deadlines;
  • To report suspicions to the MLRO or their deputy;
  • You will perform, to the best of your ability, all the duties of this post and any other post you may subsequently hold and any other duties which may reasonably be required of you and will at all times comply with reasonable instructions given to you.
