Harvey Nash are currently supporting the hire of an experience Business Analyst, with a background in Investment Banking/ Capital Markets, to form part of the Valuation Control group within a global Teir 1 Banking Organisation.
  • 5 month contract (initial duration)
  • £725 p/day (Inside IR35, via Umbrella)
  • London - Canary Wharf (2-3 days per week remote working)

Overview:

VCG (Valuation Control Group) are responsible for performing the independent price verification (IPV) for this Banks' financial inventory, validating valuation adjustments and evaluating the valuation implications of new trade activity.

This role sits in the Design & Execution team within the Valuation Control Group. The VCG Design & Execution team is primarily responsible for defining and implementing the Firm's vision of a best in class Valuation Control function.

Role Duties:
  • Delivery of business requirement and user-acceptance testing for Valuation Control programmes, in line with documentation standards
  • Partnering with Technology to deliver the right infrastructure tools and solutions aligned to both the Valuation Control vision and best in class Finance direction
  • Appropriately assessing risks and issues related to the projects and ensuring timely and effective escalation
  • Stakeholder management covering Regional Valuation Control leads, Global Valuation Control teams, other CSC leads
  • Creating ideas and insight of how the Valuation Control process can be improved, simplified and operate more effectively

Required Experience:
  • 5+ years Finance experience, ideally with broad Product Control and IPV (Independent Price Verification) experience
  • Proven ability and experience of leading change across a number of different teams / stakeholders
  • Experience in business analyst role for complex system implementation projects
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle
  • Finance and/or Product Control / Valuation Control experience
