Alternatives Investment Analyst

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Contribute to the company's Alternative strategy, process and product/service development.
Provide high quality analysis and recommendations relating to suitable investment opportunities and covering the firm's main investment holdings.
Participate in ongoing projects and thematic reviews using discretion to deliver quality output.
Improve ESG/Sustainability in the investment process from end to end i.e. from new idea generation through to investment recommendations.
Assist in the company's Alternative asset allocation constituents and weightings.
Promote Alternative investment products and services through engaging in investment debate in forums such as committees and by building relationships with stakeholders.
Creating high quality quantitative analysis and data collection for investment committees.
Work with freedom to challenge and improve frameworks and procedures.
Ensuring that key risks are understood, owned, and controlled.
Ensuring regulatory compliance with all applicable laws, regulation and guidance.
Practicing the company's principles and values.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

Investment knowledge covering some areas of Alternative assets, global macro issues, asset allocation, portfolio construction and research across different markets, asset classes and security types.
Comfortable interacting with new people and building relationships.
Strong analytical skills, critical thinking and highly numerate.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work both individually and as a team member.
Interest in sustainable investing and Environmental, Social & Governance aspects.
Excel experience and coding skills would be beneficial.
