KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Contribute to the company's Alternative strategy, process and product/service development.
  • Provide high quality analysis and recommendations relating to suitable investment opportunities and covering the firm's main investment holdings.
  • Participate in ongoing projects and thematic reviews using discretion to deliver quality output.
  • Improve ESG/Sustainability in the investment process from end to end i.e. from new idea generation through to investment recommendations.
  • Assist in the company's Alternative asset allocation constituents and weightings.
  • Promote Alternative investment products and services through engaging in investment debate in forums such as committees and by building relationships with stakeholders.
  • Creating high quality quantitative analysis and data collection for investment committees.
  • Work with freedom to challenge and improve frameworks and procedures.
  • Ensuring that key risks are understood, owned, and controlled.
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance with all applicable laws, regulation and guidance.
  • Practicing the company's principles and values.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
  • Investment knowledge covering some areas of Alternative assets, global macro issues, asset allocation, portfolio construction and research across different markets, asset classes and security types.
  • Comfortable interacting with new people and building relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills, critical thinking and highly numerate.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both individually and as a team member.
  • Interest in sustainable investing and Environmental, Social & Governance aspects.
  • Excel experience and coding skills would be beneficial.
