Summary

One of the world's most prestigious tier-1 banks is seeking a senior developer with expert-level knowledge of core Java to work on advancing its options, futures & structured market-making and algorithmic trading engines.

Working directly with teams from global trading, quant and IT, you will be responsible for building, deploying, enhancing and supporting trading strategies, analytical tools, and scalable trading engine infrastructure, using cutting-edge Java and the latest hardware. This role offers a highly varied workload covering everything from new and existing algorithm development, to improving technical and execution performance of trading systems, to generation and analysis of trading signals and data.

This is an agile front-office role so the successful Java Developer will be a skilled communicator, able to face off to the business and work effectively in a team.

Requirements
  • Proven track record in a front-office role with trading and quant strategists
  • Substantial knowledge of core Java in a UNIX/Linux environment
  • Systems development experience in automated market making, algo trading in liquid markets, preferably in a lead capacity
  • Electronic trading knowledge is essential - options, cash, ETF or futures would be ideal; liquid rates or FX will be considered
  • Experience with low-latency messaging middleware pub/sub technologies

Desirable
  • Knowledge/experience of any of the following: KDB or client-side Java development, systematic trading environment, HTML5/Angular/React development.
