Job Title: Research Analyst - Global Infrastructure
Department: Investment Team
Reports To: Portfolio Managers, Global Infrastructure
Job Summary: The Research Analyst will conduct in-depth company and industry-level research on the Pan European listed infrastructure universe, and will be responsible for making investment recommendations to the portfolio managers. Equity research experience covering European listed infrastructure companies (Utilities, Airports, Roads & Rails, Towers, Satellites) is mandatory. The analyst will join a leading Global Listed Infrastructure investment platform, with an eleven-person team managing c$9 billion on behalf of institutional and individual investors worldwide. Major Responsibilities/Activities:
• Organize and conduct analysis of industry fundamentals and trends to assess impact on sectors and companies under coverage.
• Formulate bottom-up company fundamental inputs and cash flow models for firm's proprietary valuation tools.
• Analyze company and industry news quickly and concisely convey information to portfolio managers and investment committee.
• Present and defend investment recommendations to portfolio managers.
• Interact regularly with other analysts and participate as a valued contributor within an environment where initiative, teamwork, excellent technical capabilities and effective communication skills will be essential to one's success.
• Travel to conferences/company meetings; develop relationship with management of companies under coverage.
• Support firm's client service and marketing activities
Minimum Requirements:
• Highest ethical and personal standards consistent with the firm's top-flight institutional clientele.
• A minimum 5 years of experience in equity research, preferably within a buy-side institution covering listed infrastructure securities or related sectors in Europe
• Undergraduate and applicable post-graduate (MBA) degrees from well-regarded institutions are preferred. A CFA certification is desirable but not required.
• Exceptional qualitative and quantitative research skills. A self-assured and disciplined approach to investments.
• Proven capabilities in market and company analyses that are reflected in the quality of the Analyst's written and oral communication.
• A strong and persuasive communicator who conveys information clearly both in written and verbal form.
• An enthusiastic and proactive individual-a self-starter who is motivated toward adding value and delivering superior results to the organization.
• Demonstrates inclusive behaviors in support of a culture that values diverse perspectives.
Working Conditions:
London - based, with some travel required.
