The Location : London

The Role
In this role you will support and promote our core index franchise which helps to drive the commercial success of our franchise. This includes some of the most iconic indices in the world including the S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) as well as core, style (value & growth), sector & industry, and equal weight indices.

Responsibilities
  • Support suite of U.S. Equity Indices via analysis and content creation used in thought leadership materials (blogs, white papers, video, and other media)
  • Gain familiarity with S&P DJI's U.S. Equity indices and quickly become a subject matter expert on index methodologies
  • Assist with new index launch process, ensuring smooth and timely launch of new indices
  • Participate, and ultimately present, in client meetings as a subject matter expert
  • Collaborate with a wide range of internal teams including research & design, marketing, the client experience team, governance, the index management and production group, and communications.
What we're looking for:
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent in finance or related field
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Proven track record in product development and /or research
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • First class communication skills - verbal, written and presenting
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Masters degree or equivalent in related field
  • Progress towards earning the CFA charter
  • Knowledge of indexing, passive investing and understanding of S&P DJI core equity indices
  • Programming skills (Python, VBA, others)
  • Knowledge of financial packages such as FactSet, Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Barra, Axioma, etc.
