Today, we serve millions of customers across multiple products including lending, deposits, financial tools, and our partnership with Apple on Apple Card. As we build a leading digital consumer bank and expand into new products and partnerships, we are looking for leaders and individual contributors to join our team.
Responsibilities
  • Review and advise on the design and construction of multi-asset class portfolios based on defined risk and construction parameters to ensure it meets the needs of the retail portfolios of our target audience of retail investors, offered & serviced primarily via digital channels.
  • Oversee the management of customer portfolios on a daily basis involving areas such as asset allocation, portfolio construction, performance and currency exposure monitoring
  • Ensure the suitability of all mandates to investment guidelines, customer risk tolerance and regulations
  • Oversee and enhance the suitability and portfolio risk mapping framework for UK retail portfolios
  • Ensure the portfolios are appropriately mapped through the advice model to the needs of the retail customers
  • Work closely with wider Investment Strategy Group and Asset Management Division ensure the suitability of multi-asset class solutions for retail customers
  • Undertake portfolio analysis for risk and return characteristics and performance attribution, providing reporting, analysis and recommendations to the Investment Management Council and other governance forums.
  • For all of these activities, work in conjunction with other areas of ISG and the broader firm, including GSAM, Legal, Compliance and Technology teams and senior stakeholders in the Consumer & Wealth Division.
  • Oversee the management all operational aspects, including trading, position reconciliation, capital calls, private equity events, product maturities
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Financial Conduct Authority Level 4 RDR compliant qualification (Level 6 preferred)
  • 7+ years' work experience in multi-asset class portfolio management and/or investment analysis
  • Proven knowledge in asset allocation and portfolio construction
  • Experience in providing advice and investment solutions for UK retail investors
  • Trading and investment experience with a broad range of products and markets such as ETFs, investment fund vehicles, FX, equities, bonds and derivatives.
  • Strong interest in the financial markets, good investment sense/commercial instinct and demonstrated passion for investing
  • Excellent communicator, with experience of interactions and stakeholder management at all levels
  • Strong English language skills are essential, and experience of writing for publication is highly desirable
  • Strong organizational skills; the ability to deliver on tight deadlines, multi-task in a fast-paced environment and think clearly under pressure will be key to success.
  • Self-motivated and able to work in an autonomous, yet collaborative environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
