Job Purpose Statement

Where you'll fit in & what our team goals are....
Support the Derivatives Support Group and Derivative Fund Managers/Assistants by providing oversight and control for all Derivatives trades (OTC: Bilateral & Centrally Cleared and ETD):

For this role you will need:
• Preference is a buy-side candidate with experience in asset management
• Knowledge of front-to-back office processing of OTC transactions
• Experience in pricing & valuations
• Broad OTC asset coverage needed, however Interest Rate Swap product knowledge is a key requirement
• Majority of the OTC book is Centrally Cleared therefore require good understanding of CCP/Clearing House model
• Credit (CDS), TRS, OTC Options (FX/Equity/Basket) as well as ETD are good to have and relevant to the role
• Will be required to provide desk support across front office investment teams
• Ability to troubleshoot valuation & downstream processing issues (including Collateral & Trade Processing)
• Provide oversight to middle office functions

Role Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring the oversight of all Derivative related transactions that are supported by State Street in the processing, control, collateral, and pricing oversight functions
• Resolution and co-ordination of escalation issues
• Monitoring of CCP affirmation/trade queue, close of business valuations and cash requirements at a fund/clearing house level
• Liaise closely with Fund Manager and Dealer to define any additional needs and improvements in the procedures for OTC/CCP and ETD Derivatives.
• Be point of contact for Accounting, Client Services, Reporting & Analysis and Middle Office / Investment Operations and Legal
• Regularly review and update procedures
• Participation in projects
• Assisting in the collation and formulation of data for KPI and MI reporting

Key Capabilities

Required experience/skills:
- Understanding of the OTC Bilateral and Centrally Cleared workflow
- Excellent problem-solving ability
- Keen business interest and desire to apply technical skills to real business problems

Technical Expectations/ Knowledge:
• Working knowledge of yield curves, discounting cash flows and liability matching
• Knowledge of key risk parameters: PV01, INF01, Duration, Delta, Vega, Theta, Rho
