Position Description:

PIMCO is seeking to recruit an Emerging Markets credit trader based in London. This position is responsible for trade execution and idea generation within Emerging Markets corporate credit for the overall firm. The ideal candidate will have trading experience in Emerging Markets and corporate credit, and be well versed in derivatives and broader fixed income markets. In addition to trading experience, this position requires good relative value skills and an overall interest in macroeconomics and bottom-up corporate fundamentals.

Responsibilities
  • Execute transactions in fixed income securities and their derivative instruments, such as EM corporate debt, credit default swaps
  • Responsible for making recommendations on relative value, security and instrument selection
  • Combine market and corporate knowledge with macroeconomic and country analysis to generate strategies and trading recommendations across PIMCO portfolios firm wide
  • Attend company presentations, roadshows to develop deeper understanding of company fundamentals
  • Work closely with the Analyst team to develop company level recommendations for PIMCO portfolios


Position Requirements:

  • Credit trading experience in EMs, either on the sell-side or at a hedge fund or an asset manager
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution demonstrating strong academic credentials.
  • Strong quantitative experience with using empirical investment models to analyze, compare, and contrast a diversity of market data and economic variables.
