To support the Director of Sales, Netherlands in developing key relationships with Institutional Clients and Prospects, and also assist where required in terms of their advisers and Investment Consultants, in the Netherlands.

As well as assisting in delivering our message through contact, the individual will also be responsible for ad hoc tasks relating to Sales and Prospects, and working with related teams such as Investment Management, RFP Desk, Marketing and Operations.

They will sit within the broader Institutions group and be part of the wider team.

Core responsibilities
  • Support the Director of Sales, Netherlands to develop the key relationships by reactively and proactively dealing with follow ups from meetings and conversations with and queries from clients and prospects and any other activities part of the sales process.
  • Desk research on clients, prospects, market and regulatory developments and preparatory work to support the Director of Sales, Netherlands for meetings and conversations with clients and prospects, including helping with presentation material.
  • Liaise by phone and email, where appropriate, with clients and prospects on house investment views, key strategies and investment process. Join the Director of Sales, Netherlands in conversations and meetings with clients and prospects on certain occasions.
  • Understand and keep abreast of the investment process and style of the relevant investment strategies.
  • Keep abreast of portfolio changes across the range of products, and help communicate these effectively to clients and prospects.
  • Understand the requirements of the Client Relationship Management database (Salesforce) and maintain the accuracy of this information by managing and updating the database.
  • Assist in roadshow/events and seminar development, working with other teams and following up on any issues.
  • Responsible for accurate record keeping of RFPs and Presentation materials - ensuring that all requests from clients and team members are handled to procedure.
  • Keep abreast of the administration and dealing procedures in relation to strategies and funds, where appropriate.
  • Help build and develop relationships with other internal teams such as Investment Management, RFP Desk, Marketing and Operations.

Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
  • At least 5 years of experience within the Dutch institutional investment market
  • Dutch speaker preferred, but not essential
  • Good understanding of different asset classes and both active fundamental and quantitative investment approaches. Fixed income, including EMD, would be beneficial
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in dealing with clients and internal stakeholders
  • IMC holder or willing to study to this level
  • Strong emphasis on relationship building, client and prospect satisfaction and service, including responding to clients on a timely basis
  • Aiming for best in class, attention to detail and accuracy in all matters
  • Good time management skills and ability to work under pressure
