As a Barclays Investment Managers (BIM) Portfolio Manager, you will provide Portfolio Management and Advisory capabilities, within Markets, serving a broad range of clients. You will work primarily institutional investors, by offering a wide range of Cross Asset investment solutions covering, but not limited to, Equities, Fixed Income, FX and Commodities. BIM leverages from Barclays excellent global position in Quantitative Investment Strategies to address client's needs through cost efficient and innovative fund products.

This role is deemed as a Certified role under the PRA & UK Financial Conduct Authority - Individual Accountabilities Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.

Hybrid Working
We are currently operating in a hybrid working environment, meaning that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Please discuss the detail of the working pattern options for the role with the hiring manager.

What will you be doing?
• You will develop and implement structured solutions for client transactions and optimize the structure and location of activities within Barclays International
• You will take ownership of day-to-day portfolio management of BIM funds and segregated mandates
• Prepare and/or reviewing internal and external items for new fund launches (this may include establishing new workflows or solutions for new product types)
• Support the wider BIM team on new product and platform-related projects for new and existing funds as the need arises

What we're looking for:
• Proven experience in financial services, with experience in an investment, technical or data science focused role
• Technical background and solid programming skills, with an interest in technology-driven solutions
• Proven experience gained specifically in fund management
• You will be curious about financial markets, with a keen interest in portfolio management techniques

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Experience with Python preferred
• Understanding of UCITS and AIFMD regulations, as well as portfolio risk monitoring frameworks desirable
• You will excel in this role if you are inquisitive, thorough, with an excellent eye for detail

5 North Colonnade is home to our investment bank and is in the heart of Canary Wharf, just a short walk from our headquarters at Churchill Place.
