Job Description
An exciting opportunity for an accounts receivable specialist to join a growing financial service company based in London on a contract assignment.

An exciting opportunity for an accounts receivable specialist to join a growing financial service company based in London on a contract assignment. The AR Collection Specialist will be required to provide outstanding customer service in the course of collecting on outstanding accounts receivable balances. The position includes adhering to collections work standards (i.e. call/email volumes), reducing the amount of aged items, facilitating resolution of customer billing issues, reducing accounts receivable delinquencies, and meeting and exceeding collections standards. Our client is a lead trading company within the diverse derivatives marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:

- Communicate professionally and regularly with clients over telephone and email

- Maintain debtors levels in accordance with management set targets

- Accurately identify and assign unapplied cash

- Assist clients in prioritising invoice payments in accordance with collection standards

- Update client accounts with payment promises, dispute reasons and follow up dates

- Provide the Credit Control Manager with first line of support to ensure adequate reporting
and transparency of aged collection issues.

- Review open accounts for collections efforts to reduce the number of aged items and
aged balances in assigned portfolio.

Skills and Software Requirements:

- Track record of picking up accounting systems quickly, proficient in Microsoft Office with Advanced Excel
Skills

- Excellent written/verbal communication and organisational skills

- Results oriented with personal accountability

- Proven track record of reducing debt levels

- Experience within Financial Services companies (preferred)

- Ability to work independently on projects and communicate results clearly to senior stakeholders
