As a Barclays Credit Risk Officer you will be responsible for taking a lead role in the analysis of our CCP credit exposure and sanctioning of both exposures and limits within acceptable risk parameters. As part of being a Credit Risk Officer, you will also be expected to perform risk assessments on Central Counterparty clearing services, covering a range of topics such as margin methodologies, stress testing and CCP recovery mechanisms.

What will you be doing?
• Quantifying and qualitative analysis of counterparty credit quality, risk, and exposure
• Responsibility of independent portfolio, leadership of client due diligence meetings, and write-up of annual credit reviews including proposing suitable limits and performing Central Counterparty clearing services assessments
• Providing provision of challenge to new credit proposals while maintaining good partnership with Front Office
• The production of ad-hoc portfolio or sector reviews
• The development and improvement of management information
• Having an involvement in FI credit sanctioning-related projects such as process or efficiency improvements

What we're looking for:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in any area
• Prior experience in FI/NBFI credit risk or related risk management role at a major investment bank/institution
• Risk management experience across derivative and financial markets
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to prepare written analysis for FI/NBFI clients, and ability to present

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Experience and understanding of CCPs and clearing business activities
• Experience with documentation of traded products, trade finance products and/or loan products
• Risk Governance experience and understanding of Credit Risk Management policies
