Job Title: Investment Manager
Salary: Competitive with an excellent benefits package
Reference number: 1700
Duration: Permanent
Learning and Development Opportunities
We choose to invest significantly in the development of our people, and regularly review the relevance and outcomes of this training. We also encourage our employees to take relevant business qualifications and offer generous support packages. Our investment professionals are required to achieve standards above the regulatory minimum with a particular focus on the Chartered Wealth Manager and Chartered Financial Analyst qualifications.
As well as an active continuous professional development offering, we provide a structured investment management career path and clear internal guidelines which detail the competencies that an individual would be expected to be able to demonstrate when moving from one level to another. Typically, individuals joining at the Investment Manager level can apply to be considered for promotion to Investment Director after approximately 3-5 years' tenure.
Benefits and Wellbeing
We offer a comprehensive remuneration and benefits package, which is regularly reviewed to ensure that it remains competitive. Rathbones recognises the importance of an appropriate work-life balance, both to the health and welfare of employees and to the business. Whilst our 2021 engagement survey results suggest the vast majority of colleagues feel they strike the right balance between work and home life, we continue to develop our employee wellbeing offering.
In 2021, we increased the range and number of training and drop-in sessions available on wellbeing-related topics, including: building resilience, using mindfulness, managing stress, and menopause training for line managers. Rathbones offers an Employee Assistance Programme to all employees as well as having an established internal Mental Health First Aider group, to provide points of contact for all our employees in need of someone to speak to. We continue to provide support for working parents through targeted seminars and training sessions, such as including helping new parents prepare, and how to engage with children.
