Interest Rate / Inflation Strategist, Hedge Fund, London

This hire will involve working closely with senior PMs (including the CIO) and be focused on generating trades with an inflation focus. The fund has had success trading inflation (US/EUR/GBP) and are looking to build on this success by adding someone to specialise in the area. They are a sophisticated team with a process-based approach and so the successful candidate is likely to have a highly technical methodology. They are looking for someone with experience building, improving, and maintaining a variety of models to underpin their investment process within the inflation space. For the right person, there is potential to take risk and be allocated capital.

In terms of characteristics the fund hires are high performing self-starters with low ego and the ability to be pragmatic in their approach to work. There is significant exposure to working with a range of stakeholders across the business (including senior PMs), so strong communication skills are essential.

Requirements

• 5 years plus experience as a Fixed Income (Rates) strategist. This experience will come at a leading Hedge Fund, a sell side strategy desk with big Hedge Fund client base, or at a Central Bank.
• Strong academic background from globally renowned University
• Ability to generate high quality trades ideas in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication skills
