As Barclays Technology Hardware Analyst, you will be a part of the European Equity Research Department. The role is stimulating, challenging and based within a supportive, flexible, values-based work environment. There will be significant opportunities for personal growth.
Barclays is one of the world's largest and most respected financial institutions, with 329 years of success, quality and innovation behind us. We offer careers that provide endless opportunity - helping millions of individuals and businesses thrive, and creating financial and digital solutions that the world now takes for granted.
What will you be doing?
• Conducting unique and novel analysis that translates into thematic and differentiated research
• Contributing to the writing of research reports, ranging from quarterly reports, single stock deep-dives to large thematic notes
• Building and maintaining both financial and industry models across the European technology space
• You will have regular communication with institutional investors, industry consultants and company management, as-well internal counter-parties (analysts, sales and traders)
• You will keep updated on current market developments across multiple industries, including the global semiconductor and hardware market
• Challenging the established way of doing things and bringing fresh ideas
• Developing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
• Thinking with the mindset of the team's success and be a strong team player
What we're looking for:
• Degree/background in Physics, Technology, Engineering or similar.
• Proven working experience either within accounting, consulting, sell-side investment research, investment banking or private equity.
• Strong knowledge of accounting, financial modelling and financial statement analysis.
• Passion for technology is a must.
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Experience in technology research/industry/consulting would be advantageous, but will consider those from other backgrounds.
• ACA (or other accounting qualifications) or CFA qualifications would be desirable
Where will you be working?
