Job Purpose Statement

Where you'll fit in & what our team goals are...

You'll be responsible for supporting the delivery and development of a market leading and strategically aligned Marketing MI, Analytics & Research capability, ensuring a robust, compliant and scalable approach, that plays a central role in Columbia Threadneedle's understanding and targeting of key target audiences, and our ability to connect with prospects and clients, to ultimately increase levels of engagement. The role also plays a key part in managing specialist 3rd party suppliers on specific related tasks, and ensuring appropriate controls and governance are in place to oversee other marketing teams' activities in this area.

Role Responsibilities

How you'll spend your time...

• Support set up, development and maintenance of Columbia Threadneedle's MI, analytics, and research capability within marketing, ensuring it plays a central role in informing our understanding and appropriate targeting of key target audiences, drives measurable results, and is aligned to the broader business objectives.
• The role includes responsibility to ensure delivery in line with Columbia Threadneedle's risk appetite and policies, supporting appropriate buy-in, awareness and understanding within the wider marketing team, as well as across the business, to enable successful delivery.
• Proactively understand emerging and evolving business needs and external approaches to help ensure the brand is on or ahead of related marketing trends in its approach to the use of marketing data and research, and aligned to our broader data driven, digital-first marketing approach, focused on deepening engagement with our various target audiences, as well as clearly supporting the commercial objectives of the business.
• Collaborate with relevant marketing, distribution, investment, technology, data, compliance and legal teams to understand overall business, product, and distribution requirements, aligning these with the broader marketing objectives, land effectively managing stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
• Proactively collaborate across the marketing team to support the delivery of the broader marketing strategy, key initiatives, etc.
• Constructively challenge the norm to deliver significant step changes in client experience and commercial results.
• Serve as an expert and advocate for appropriate use of our marketing MI, analytics and research, within marketing and across the broader business.

Key Capabilities

To be successful in this role you will have...

• Proven experience and knowledge in delivery of scalable, and highly insightful MI, analytics and research - able to gain immediate credibility and hit the ground running.
• Unapologetically client focused, yet commercially driven with good understanding of financial drivers / business requirements, and strong budget management skills.
• Strong data analytics ability and understanding with complex data sets, as well as strong insight articulation skills.
• Proven experience in delivery of both quantitative and qualitative research and analysis.
• Strong understanding of marketing data and channels, modelling and creating KPIs and ROI reporting.
• Strong experience with segmentation, lead generation reporting and reporting automation as well as identifying and reporting on upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
• Strong reputation as a sophisticated expert in this area as demonstrated through past results.
• Technical proficiency with industry standard data analysis tools (Excel + VBA, Excel PowerPivot, Google Suite (Analytics, Tag Manager), Adobe Analytics and Salesforce), and working knowledge of Supermetrics / Funnel.io, Tableau / PowerBI, Hotjar, Google Suite (Data Studio, Optimise) is desirable
• Good project management skills with a track record of delivery to time and within budget.

• Good change management skills.
