As a Barclays Instrument & Pricing Master Data Management Analyst you will be responsible for using vendor sources to provide market instrument data to financial service firms . The team is central to Reference Data Operations & IT, Data functions and the business, maintaining a governance framework to help drive change initiatives . This is a mid-senior level role which will involve mentorship of junior analysts which could provide management opportunities in the future.

Hybrid Working
We are currently operating in a hybrid working environment, meaning that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Please discuss the detail of the working pattern options for the role with the hiring manager.

What will you be doing?
• You will transforming a strategic idea into a well-designed change project that can be planned, organised and tracked.
• Assisting with the management of an extensive project portfolio and ensure consistent delivery under pressure.
• Assist with the breakdown of a function, operating model or project into its constituent parts and build it back up better.
• Partnering with the Market Data Management team to drive efficiencies and cost saves for the bank.
• Using LEAN implementation and process mapping to mitigate risk and drive efficiencies across the reference data function

What we're looking for:
• Exceptional understanding of Instrument (Equities, Debt, Futures, Options etc) & Price data and the Market Data vendors (Bloomberg, Reuters etc) in this space
• Knowledge of how Instrument Data can affect the lifecycle of a trade and the consequences of data quality issues
• Assist with the breakdown of a function, operating model or project into its constituent parts and build it back up better.
• Transform a strategic idea into a well designed change project that can be planned, organised and tracked

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Ability to quantify and drive mitigation of risk at a project level
• High level understanding of the trade lifecycle across all asset classes
