Goldman Sachs is seeking to fill a full-time position to be part of a support team in FICC Portfolio Analytics Technology, London. FICC stands for Fixed Income Currencies and Commodities and is part of Goldman Sachs Institutional Client Services business. FICC business teams transact in a variety of assets, including interest rate products, credit products, mortgages, currencies and commodities. We as part of FICC Technology are a global business unit which works closely with these business teams and are responsible for the technology needs of the franchise.
As part of Portfolio Analytics technology we build technical solution to deliver real time PnL and risk analytics business needs.
We have built next gen distributed risk computation platform to generate risk and PnL metrics and have legacy system from which we are migrating risk computations to new platform. We also have a web based application to monitor production services and tool built to support prod environment.
As a member of the support team in FICC Portfolio Analytics Technology team you will monitor production systems, build & deploy fixes to the systems, interact with users on queries on risk computations, create run books for handling of issues. Also you will be building tools to handle support issues, automate handling of issues wherever possible and performing alerts analysis and prioritize the fixes with the SMEs.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE SOUGHT Effectively meeting the demands of our challenging mandate requires a passion for learning as well as deep understanding and experience across a wide array of technical competencies. While there is not a set formula for success in this environment, we find the following tend to be indispensable:

  • A Bachelor degree or better in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Has excellent communication skills, experience supporting users in a high pressure environment and a dedication to providing the highest level of customer service
  • Experience in supporting large scale distributed systems and debugging code to find the root causes of prod issues
  • Experience collaborating in global teams
  • Experience in creating run books for support issues
  • Experience in creating code fixes and deploying them for prod issues is preferred
