The team of 17 professionals run a number of external funds and segregated mandates, in partnership with M&G's Private Credit, Real Estate and Research teams. Growth of the European Secured Property Income Fund has driven a requirement for a junior associate to work across all aspects of the funds activity.

The Role
- Working on the European Long Lease Fund which has grown to c€700m over 6 years, with 38 assets across 10 countries in continental Europe
- Involvement in all aspect of day to day Fund Management, including internal and external reporting, cashflow management, asset management and ESG initiatives
- Take a key role in analysing transactions, working directly with investment surveyors, credit analysts and fund managers to assess value and likely returns
- Assist in capital raising, marketing and investor communications
Key Responsibilities
- Analysis of suitable new investment opportunities and making purchase recommendations
- Assist in the preparation of investment committee papers and appropriate deal analytics
- Monitor and ensure compliance with the investment policies and restrictions of the fund
- Assist in the provision of adequate investor, consultant, compliance and internal reporting
- Assisting with capital management (capital queue management, drawdowns, payments, reporting, etc.)
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and external service partners
- Assist in active management of existing properties

- Strong interest in continental European Real Estate, with prior experience preferred
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Highly numerate , ability to analyse and model property cash flows
- Good level of proficiency in Excel and sound financial modelling skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Highly motivated: ability to work independently and use initiative
- Team oriented/ability to work across different business units
- Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Flexible approach to role and responsibilities within a growing business
Desirable attributes include:
- Understanding/previous experience of continental European property markets
- Relevant foreign language
- Knowledge of credit analysis and ratings/alternative asset classes
- Likely to be degree educated and have/studying towards a professional qualification
