The position represents the chance to make the move from sell-side to buy-side at an early stage in your career, giving direct exposure to the investment process and providing a unique learning and personal development experience.
The position itself will involve researching, meeting and modelling companies operating across various sectors and regions (including the UK, Europe, US and Asia). The investment style of the firm is long only and they hold positions for upwards of five years+ in concentrated portfolios. You would be undertaking detailed, bottom up fundamental research so we would ask that applicants have strong DCF modelling skills.
Ideally applicants will currently be working for a bulge bracket bank or a well regarded independent broker and are within their second or third year as an analyst. Academically a 1 or 2.1 degree in an economics/accounting related subject would be expected, while completion or part-completion of the CFA would be advantageous.
Our client looks for people who have a real interest in investing, including having managed their own PA, enjoy reading about investors/financial markets, and have a clear rationale behind why they would like to join buy-side.
Please get in touch for further details.
