As a Barclays Par Closing Team Leader, you will work servicing the Barclays client base by acting as the administrative point of communication for all loans traded on the secondary market. You will oversee and manage the Par Loan Closing team who are responsible for the daily operation of trade settlement and management of controls and key risk indicators. You will be delivering against SLAs, managing volume with team planning, quality assurance and task completeness.

What will you be doing?
• Overseeing and managing the Par Loan Closing Team
• Developing relationships with management, clients, Business Managers and other support teams across Barclays including Finance, Risk and Treasury
• Full management responsibility of multiple teams in accomplishing tasks to meet daily/weekly/monthly targets
• Responsibility for ensuring all activity is conducted in accordance with policy, procedure and appropriate controls
• Identifying process improvements within the organisation with both internal and external partners to create efficiencies.
• Articulating and assessing risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Barclays
• Influencing strategic decisions through sound advice, challenging the business to deliver a strategic outcome that is considerate of the E2E and impact to the stakeholder group
• Liaising with the trading desk, sales and deal analysts as well as trade counterparties, agent banks, legal counsel, both internally and externally

What we're looking for:
• Demonstrable experience within the Secondary Loans Closing space covering transactions across both LMA and LSTA documentation
• Previous Team Leader or management experience
• Ability to work in a high pressure environment with the ability to manage a diverse workload to tight deadlines
• Experienced at handling a large portfolio of trades adopting a cradle-to-grave approach

Skills that will help you in the role
• Able to problem solve system discrepancies, PNL adjustments and able to make decisions around PNL accruals and cash postings
• Excellent communication and decisions making skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent interpersonal skills
