Overall, UK Sustainability engages across internal departments - both plc and Group - to help the Bank respond early and effectively to emerging risks and opportunities. It leads ongoing development of the Bank's ESG strategy and steers on priorities and implementation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversee and coordinate development of our customer-led GSF approach
• Develop metrics to track and steer progress
• Represent the Bank in external green finance forums and manage relationships
• Guide colleagues on market developments and best practice
• Provide support to the branches on GSF questions, e.g. customer business
• Guide on regulatory and stakeholder risks and opportunities
• Work closely with HB Group and other markets to capitalise on good practice
• Ensure that data and MI related to this role's area of responsibility is of high quality
• Contribute to the Bank's sustainability reporting and disclosures

Development Potential:
The applicant should have a recognised GSF qualifications and/or substantial experience in a directly relevant role.
They should also possess a strong understanding and belief in Handelsbanken's culture, its customer-oriented business model and a commitment to creating customer value.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Deep expertise and knowledge about the green and sustainable finance environment in UK and Europe - principles, trends and stakeholder expectations
• Knowledge of the Bank's sustainability strategy, goals and current position
• Experience of working at a strategic and operational level, capable of working with and supporting senior leaders and decision-makers
• Strong in stakeholder management, internally and externally; experienced in coordinating across multiple functions
• You will be expected to lead and present both in forums and to executive and board committees
• Goal oriented
• Proactive
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to analyse, articulate and present complex issues clearly and concisely
• Ability to build strong professional relationships at all levels and represent Handelsbanken effectively
• Interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with impact with people at all levels

• Attention to detail and an highly organised approach to work
